Marnie Rays is a retreat with a difference. We offer so much more than your standard wellness retreat thanks to our incredible local chefs, gifts from our brand partners, tailored yoga classes and extras such as fun nights out together, a focus on joyful community, all set within a super premium location.

Please note that a £299 initial deposit is required for all retreats and is non-refundable.

The remaining balance will be due six weeks before the retreat begins. You will have the option to pay in monthly instalments if preferred.

Once you have booked, you will be able to access your personalised payment plan, where you can view all upcoming payment due dates and make payments easily.

We know that sometimes life gets in the way of adventures, and we’ll always do our best to be understanding. That said, once you book your retreat, we begin planning and committing to accommodation, partners, and our team well in advance to make your experience happen.

For all bookings made on or after 26th August 2026, the following cancellation policy applies:

More than 60 days before departure: If you can no longer join us, your booking can be transferred to another Marnie Rays retreat of your choice in the following season/year, subject to availability. Your deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred as credit towards your new retreat.

If you have paid more than the deposit: Any additional amount you have paid towards your retreat will also be transferred as credit towards your new retreat. Payments are not refundable.

Within 60 days of departure: If you cancel within 60 days of departure, your booking is non-refundable and non-transferable. Any payments already made will be retained, and the full outstanding balance remains payable.

Future bookings: If you cancel within 60 days and wish to attend a future Marnie Rays retreat, this will be treated as a new booking and a new deposit will be required.

Non-payment of balance: If your balance is not paid by the agreed due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain any payments made.

If you are unable to attend your retreat for any reason, including illness, personal circumstances, or travel disruption, these cancellation terms will apply.

We are not responsible for travel disruption outside of our control, including (but not limited to) flight cancellations, delays, or global events.

We strongly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking, covering cancellation, travel disruption, and unforeseen circumstances.

Bookings made before 26th August 2026 remain subject to the cancellation policy that was in place at the time of booking.

We are here every step of the way after you book! We’ll email several times with all the information you need, and details of your payment plan. You'll be able to access everything in your guest area, we'll email you with a link to login.

We couldn't recommend solo travel more. It can feel scary but we promise you it'll be one of the best things you ever do! Plus, our job is to make sure you have the best time and make new connections (if you'd like to!). We've got beautiful group dinners, and lots of other things we'll do as a little Marnie Rays community. You're in the best hands.

Yes! We cater for all dietaries and allergies.

We have guests travel from all over the world to come surf with us!

Yes! We welcome you with open arms. Most of our guests have never surfed before! It's a beautiful thing to learn together in a safe and supportive environment.

Once you've booked, we'll send you the exact address, easy-to-follow arrival details, and all the transport options. Closer to the retreat, we'll also add everyone to a WhatsApp group so you can say hello, ask any questions, and arrange to share airport transfers or taxis with other guests if you'd like.

The closest airport is Newquay airport.

You can catch the train from London to Bodmin parkway and arrange a taxi from the station to the house!

You won't need to bring any special equipment, we'll provide all the surf gear you'll need. We'll send a packing list once you book too!

We recommend packing:

Swimwear A beach towel Comfortable pilates and lounging outfits Layers for Cornish summer (even in summer, it is the UK so weather can be unpredictable!) Sun protection (Waterproof sunscreen and zinc, Hat, sunglasses) Any personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, etc) and medications Water bottle

We also strongly recommend arranging comprehensive travel insurance that includes cover for watersports.

Absolutely, friends are more than welcome. You can choose to share a room together or book two separate private rooms, whichever you prefer. Most guests travel solo, but bringing a friend is always a great option.
